Directors of Coaching-
Phyllis Fowler- Current Head Coach and Girls Athletic Director for New Braunfels High School. Under her direction, the New Braunfels Unicorns have won 2 state championships and have made numerous state tournament appearances. Coach Fowler led the 2007 Centex 18's to qualify at the very highest level (Top 28) of competition at the National Junior Olympic Tournament. Her Centex 2007 18's team was named Club Team of the Year for 2007 by LoneStarVolleyball.com. Coach Fowler has coached with Centex for 10 years.
Bethany Moore- Played volleyball at New Braunfels High School and Blinn College. Bethany was a member of the New Braunfels High School State Championship Team in 2000. This is her 9th year with Centex, and third year as a coaching director. She has coached many different levels including 13’s, 14’s, 15’s and 17’s, qualifying a team for Nationals in 2003.

122- Natalie Walther- Currently coaching at OakRun Middle School. Walther was a member of the New Braunfels 4A State Champion volleyball team in 2000. Natalie graduated from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where she played volleyball. She was named defensive player of the year at TAMUK in 2003.
123- Chelsie Fowler - Chelsie played volleyball at New Braunfels High School where she was a member of the 2005 4A State Championship Team. She also played club for Centex for five years. In college, she played two years at Wharton County Junior College and played for Hardin-Simmons University where she was named 2008 American Southwest Conference Newcomer of the Year. Chelsie coached one year for West Texas Heat out of Abilene, and has over five years experience coaching various volleyball camps. This is Chelsie's 2nd year with Centex.
131- Ashley Wersterfer Erben - Ashley played volleyball at New Braunfels High School and The University of the Incarnate Word. Ashley has eight years of coaching experience between three years with Austin Junior Volleyball where her team qualified for JO's all three years and she also directed and coached for San Antonio Juniors from 2002-2006. She is a Texas State graduate and has formerly taught and coached volleyball and basketball at NBMS from 2007-2010.
132 - Ian Evans - Ian is from Amarillo, Texas. He has played club volleyball for 3 years and Competitive City League for 4. He has been a volleyball coach since 2006, Assistant coaching the Silver National Champion Amarillo Rockets. He is currently the New Braunfels Christian Academy Junior Varsity coach and has led them to an undefeated season the last two years. This is his third year coaching for Centex.
141 - Matthew Trip and Amy Rojo Schmidt -
Matthew Trip played volleyball for the Texas State Men's Club for 4 years while in Texas. In California, Matt worked for City Beach Volleyball Club where he coached their 143 and 145 teams and assisted with their 183 team as well. While gaining experience coaching club ball, Matt also coached at Mountain View High School where he racked up experience coaching at the freshmen level, JV level and assistant coach at the varsity level. Matt also ran camps in and around the City Beach area. After returning to Texas, Coach Trip has taken a coaching position at New Braunfels Christian Academy and will also serve as their IT Director.
Amy played collegiate volleyball at Sul Ross University for two seasons. She has many years of public school coaching, including three years of head coaching experience for Seguin High School. During her high school experiences, she had the opportunity to coach with an Olympian, Demetria Sance, and New Braunfels Middle School was lucky to have her as a coach for the past two years. Along with her high school and middle school coaching experience, Amy has seven years of coaching club ball with Centex. She lead our 2003 17's team to a national appearance in Atlanta and had much success with the 141's and our developmental 12's team in the years to follow. She served as a Coaching Director for Centex Volleyball Club in 2006. Amy brings a lot of volleyball expertise to Centex Volleyball Club.
142 - Erin White - Erin played volleyball at New Braunfels High School and then Texas State University. Her four years at Texas State were very successful. Her Texas State team ended up conference champions in 1996 and 1998. Erin has been coaching club in Austin and New Braunfels for 10 years. This will be Erin's fourth year with Centex
151 - Brittany Curry and Chelsie Fowler
Brittany played volleyball at New Braunfels High School where she was a member of the 2002 4A State Finalist team. She also played club for Centex and was part of the 2002 National Semi-Final team. In college, Brittany played at the University of Texas at Dallas where she was the team's Captain, MVP, and First Team All-Conference player for three years. She was also named the 2004 American Southwest Conference Newcomer of the Year and 2006 American Southwest Conference Player of the Year. She has four years of club coaching experience with Club Kahuna out of Plano, Texas, where she coached 14's and 15's. This is her second year with Centex.

Tracy McWilliams-Smith is the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Texas State University Bobcats volleyball team. Tracy is also the Bobcat’s technical director, outlining all aspects of the Bobcat’s training and on-floor technical skills. This is Tracy's 3rd year with Centex.
171 - Tiffany Weidner Davis and Krystle Weidner
Tiffany Weidner Davis and Krystle Weidner are former Canyon High School (New Braunfels) volleyball standouts.
Tiffany is currently the Head Volleyball Coach at Texas Lutheran University. Tiffany has led the TLU Bulldogs to three ASC West titles, four ASC Championship Tournament appearances, a 2007 ASC Championship, and a 2007 NCAA DIII Tournament berth. Before coming to TLU, Tiffany was a four year letterman in volleyball for Texas State and was a member of her alma mater’s 2000 Southland Conference Championship team.
Krystle Weidner has formerly coached club volleyball for Volleyball Academy of Texas. We are extremely excited about our staff, and truly feel we have the most experienced and highly qualified individuals in the area. We look forward to working with you this season!
